Founded in Switzerland in 1858, the company first made a name for itself with its Cricket calibre.

It was this very special movement that allowed Vulcain to create the first wristwatch with an audible alarm. This latest addition to the famous Vulcain line of watches incorporates all the precision advances made by generations of watch experts. Sound would become a Vulcain 's hallmark. Not only was it audible, but it was powerful enough to wake its wearer. The Vulcain Cricket, a world first, soon became fashionable and earned the nickname "the Presidents' Watch," as President Harry S. Truman and his successors also found it very useful.

This watch is part of a limited edition of 100 pieces and features a 39mm polished 316L steel case with a full steel case back and pistachio green dial, hour markers and dauphine hands. Nickel plating, blued screws, Skeletonized ratchets. Anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal. Satin-finished circular bezel and case back.

The strap is made of brown calfskin with crocodile print and a steel buckle closure with quick release pin.
