Hugely popular since its inception and now in its fourth year of limited edition release, the Seiko Prospex Series is inspired by the mysterious world of night diving. The 2022 series is inspired by the key moments in Seiko 's diving heritage: 1965, 1968 and 1970. This particular design is a modern take on the 1970 watch.

The modern reinterpretation of the 1970's Diver watch was dubbed "Captain Willard" by fans of Martin Sheen's character who wore it in the movie "Apocalypse Now." The original 1970 Diver watch was worn by Japanese explorer Naomi Uemura, the first person in the world to scale the highest peaks on each of the five continents, wearing a Seiko dive watch while doing so.

Lumibrite-coated hands and markers ensure greater visibility in the dark world of the night sea, allowing the time to be clearly read in dark conditions. This watch is accompanied by an additional silicone strap and a limited edition box.

This Seiko has a self-winding movement capable of manual winding caliber 8L35 with a power reserve of 50 hours and an accuracy of -10/+15 seconds per day.

The watch case is made of stainless steel with a hardened coating and a diameter of 44 mm.

Its dial color is black with LumiBrite on the hands, indices and bezel.

The strap is stainless steel with a three-fold clasp with safety and button release with extender.

Its second strap is made of black silicone.

Curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.

Its water resistance is 200 meters.
