Seiko 5 Sports Style GMT 42.5mm SSK003K1 Watch

This Seiko is a reissue of the much loved Seiko SKX model. Thanks to the GMT hand and 24-hour bezel, this new model can easily perform multi-time zone calculations. The Hardlex crystal-covered bezel enhances durability, while LumiBrite-coated hands and indexes ensure high readability in low light.

The bracelet stays true to the SKX heritage with a five piece link design that forms a series of small X patterns. The Seiko 5 Sports collection has been known for over fifty years for reliability, durability and performance. "5" represents the original five key features of all Seiko 5 watches that are still present today: automatic movement, day and date display, water resistance, recessed crown, and durable case and bracelet.

This watch features a 42.5mm diameter brushed stainless steel case .

It features a two-tone black and blue unidirectional rotating bezel that displays a 24-hour display that can be used to set the time for another time zone. The bezel is made of aluminum with hardlex. The wedged walls of the bevel ensure easy handling.

The snap-on crown sits at 4 o'clock, flanked by a crown guard that ensures it won't snap out of place.

Hardlex glass also protects the case front and back from scratches and shattering. The exhibition caseback offers the wearer an insight into the internal mechanisms of the watch.

The dial is presented in blue with a sunray effect, with a silver frame and hour markers filled with LumiBrite material, which ensures the dial is readable in the dark. A date display window replaces the 3 o'clock marker, and is magnified by a cyclops lens.

In the rehaut we find a 24-hour track. The GMT hand comes in a striking shade of red, making it easy to distinguish between two time zones. The Seiko 5 Sports type logo is presented in silver below the 12 o'clock logo.

This watch is presented on a solid stainless steel jubilee style bracelet with brushed and polished finishes. It fastens with a folding clasp with a push button. It also has an extension for divers.

This Seiko is powered by Seiko 's recently updated automatic hand-wound movement, caliber 4R34 . It has a 41-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 100 meters , which means it can be worn when diving.
